Hi Mark,
I've had to post these photos as I couldn't figure out how to attach them to a PM.

Right, I've put the sissy bar back on and I've measured the upper and lower bolts which is where the rack will attach, these are the inside measurements.

The upper measures just under 10 and quarter inches

And the lower measures just over 10 and half inches

I've attached the photos so hopefully this makes sense.

And I've included this one as it shows the newly installed saddlebags with the easy brackets!!

Excellent, thanks Haydon. Great photos as they show me EXACTLY the inside and ousdide dims. Perfect. :)

And thanks for showing that it works with the Easy Brackets, because that is what I have one, as well. So I assume you got the mounting lugs that are suitable for with the Triumph Backrest? I purchased mine to be without, so hope I can make some adjustments to fit it all OK.

Can I bother you for one more bit of detail? :)

What is the spacing between the holes that support the rack?

Cheers!

Gonzo

Hi Mark,
I've just measured the holes and there is 1" between them.
I purchased the easy brackets to fit on the rear mounting holes of the fender, so the bracket would be located in the middle of the bags. I had to get some spacers made and purchase some longer (70mm) M8 hex bolts which I re-threaded to make them fit with the sissy bar. I can give you more details tomorrow as I'm about to go back to work if you would like.
Cheers

No, that's all the details I need. I reckon the Triumph Rack will fit just fine.

Now all I have to do is actually get my hands on a set. Your contact didn't email me back, sadly. Will try again tonight. If you could call him to tell him to answer his email from some poor Aussie shmuck that wants to buy something from him, that would be great. :)

Hi Haydn71, Being a fellow "Essex Bird" can i ask where you got the sissy bar, assuming its alot cheaper then the genuine part, I'm looking for a sissy bar for very occassional use, Is it quick release as well, hence not wanting to spend fortunes on the triumph part. thanks for any help given on this.

Hey Hayden,

Well with any luck I should have my side rails form your dealer this week. They got back to me and with little fuss had a PayPal invoice to me and shipped them off in a hurry.

Thanks for answering my questions and providing the details. :)

Cheers,
Gonzo

Hi,

I bought the sissy bar from Julian Sopers in Leigh on Sea, it cost £130.00.

To put it on and take it off you need to remove the front and rear bolts of the fender.

Hope this helps!
