Does anyone happen to know if the Triumph summer windscreen will fit with the Triumph headlight cowl installed?

I've been considering the Corbin Contraband fairing (I know, I know... most of you guys HATE the Corbin fairing ), but I just saw the short screen installed and it's not nearly as ugly as I originally thought.

I always liked the look of the headlight cowl... especially with my blue/white stripe colors, but since I was leaning towards the Contraband, I sort of stopped considering the headlight cowl.

So, to repeat... doe anyone know if the summer screen will fit with the headlight cowl installed on the bike?

Thanks guys!

If you had asked yesterday we would have and answer. Now you have to wait until end of January. Its so
that we where cleaning bikes with Gary alias Weatherman today and could have tried the combination with
his cowl and my summer screen.

do not see how, as they both fit close to the headlight housing. perhaps an oversizing of the cutout for the summer screen could allow, but then what benefit of the flyscreen? execpt for when the suumer screen is removed and then I suppose it could leave the fly screen behind..

but would look goofy wiht both in my opine.

more goofy than the corbin? you decide.

Narcis: you can try it out with my screen when we mount the corbin on my silber vird.

Yeah, I think it might look a bit goofy at that

Plus, when you start doing the math...

(www.madss.com prices)
COWL= $212.49
SUMMER SCREEN=$348.49
QR MOUNT=$144.49
LOCK=$21.24
TOTAL=$726.71

That ain't cheap for a possibly ugly combo.

And... I'm still feelin' a might partial to that Contraband.

I've seen Corbin up close on a Silver T-bird. Looked great. I decided to follow him. Easy
since we were going to the same Dealer.

Did a full eyeball, over, under, connections, etc. He had the Corbin Dual Seat and
said the Ms. likes the ride. I think the pictures don't do justice to fairing.

Well, I'm glad that someone other than Teebird (Jamie) and me like the Contraband! And, DizzE, I've read lots of comments by you on other threads, so know how picky you are, so if YOU say you like it, it's gotta be good

I was thinking of other options when I created this post, but I keep visualizing the Contraband on my bike! Now that Teebird's fairing has finally arrived, I'm hoping to get to see it close up soon... as soon as Teebird gets his butt back to Colorado from Arizona, that is

Narco: we can try and mount it as it is intended,
but I really want to modify it to make it quick detachable.

if i can make it fit the stock mounts, with whatever mods are required, I will be ecstatic.

ALl good

Have you seen the PDF mounting instructions from the Corbin site yet? (Assuming you're still in AZ and haven't opened your early Xmas present ;) ) The mounting looks very straightforward...

Do you have a quick-release method already in mind?

Yeah, but DizzE - you also have two windscreens on your bike. This would have to be an improvement

nothing in mind. figured best to wait until we try and fit the pieces... there is the matter of the auxiliary light bar which is a gamble on my part as well.

I have a hunch that some trimming and fitting will need happen.

looking at last week december?

I have to find a way to heat my garage space if its too chilly...

Teebird maybe I should change my name to J-Bird!

You set the date and time and I'll be there! Yeah, those garages can get pretty cold in December... especially if you've been spending most of your time down AZ-way

Now, in all fairness, I didn't state if I liked the dual screen setup or not ... I merely stated that with two windscreens, you might be a candidate for a bat wing

ah, but you think it might be an improvement. Well, the thing is, I don't know how the bat wing or Contaband
cut the wind. The pictures don't really show how well it looks on the bike, IMO.

The farings are a bit bulky, not easily removable and heavy for my taste, and I'm sure my screen set up works well for the wind.
Plus I can easily run either screen, or none. Very modular, unlike a faring.

So, you think my screens look so weird that a bat wing would be an upgrade?

I'm just kidding with you.

No sir, but I might put three windscreens on my bike just for the one-upmenship of it all
