I must confess to being a bit skiddish about trying this at the moment, and if i do i will wait till the bike is broken in. But i'm anxious to see if anyone has and what kind of improvement they felt. By the way, tune ecu would not recognize the map in my bike before i had the BB installed because it was an older map. It wouldn't even load it into tunecu. How is it going to deal with a map like those with a different name. Will it even load them, and if not would naming them the same as a known map name work? Or is it just that i will not read an unknown map from the ECU but WILL work with a map that is loaded into tuneecu from PC? Sorry, but this gets a little confusing to my tiny tiny brain.

I can, I think, download a map with any name. When I read that map it will always say Map 20310, in my case. And I can then save it to whatever name I want.
When I download a map with changes, bike will operate with the changes, but not read them back. I have to Commit the Trims. But, when it reads back the committed map it still says 20310.
I'm pretty sure the checksums are not part of the name and it was checksums that caused your first problem.
I downloaded 20310 over 20307. Then I changed it, re-named it committed and it's still 20310. Pretty cool. (I think)
