Just ordered up the Kuryakyn Tourer for a customer in Aus. I gave it a going over as I like to do when I pack stuff. This bag caught my fancy.

It has a support structure inside, and lots of external pockets that are sizable enough for stuffing things you like to access on the road without un-packing the whole load, a big plus. The main compartment door allows you to expose things down most the height of the bag which is a plus and minus, plus if you have clothes in there minus if you stuff lose stuff in there but with the side pockets you should have plenty of space of loos stuff in them.

Coolest thing about the bag is the zippers, they are touted as "water proof" and I would highly suspect that if they are not they would be close to it because the ribs of the zipper are flush and flat as not to catch water, really a nice design, hopefully a sturdy design, but I didn't see anything to it that was scary.

Over all it looked like a really nice package.

G'day Ed, really love it when you have these reviews. Tell me, could you fit two helmets in this bag? Just looked at the fitting instructions on You Tube but was unable to properly see if it would take two helmets.

Also, because the Thunderbird Sissy bars bends backwards over the rack and effectively "robs" half the rack space, do you think it would mount nicely?

Thanks

Eddie

Well Eddie, the bags on it's way to Aus, but I am pretty sure a full face for sure..two...maybe. That is with nothing else in the bag. Half helmets, yea, half helmets..two maybe. I really should have had a gander at it.

There's a Kuryakin dealer near me and I've tried most bags, then went for the Gran Tour bag. Works really well for me, with some clever features. I really wanted the "Screen Pouch" but no matter which way I tried it, it wasn't going to fit the Tbird. Does anyone know of an alternative that would?

I have one of those bags and I love it!! I can pack a bunch of stuff in it and it ties down nicely. It is going to Sturgis next year :-)

You got any photos of it on your bike? How does it strap down? And how much do one of those set you back?

Thanks for these reviews. It certainly helps. :)
