Received the SpacerJim spacers day after Jim emailed and said they were in the mail.
Easy to install with a little help from a rope around a rafter to hold up the bars while i fitted the
spacers with the new provided, longer bolts.
Note: These one inch spacers are the max you can raise the stock bars while using the stock brake
line leading up to the master cylinder but it does still allow normal operation. I will watch this and possibly rotate the brake line down to gain just a little more length/slack.
I had already rotated my bars down as far as the fuel tank to bar-end controls would allow at lock-to-lock steering angles.
I'm 6'-1" with average to long arms and wanted to get a little more bend in my arms while sitting up-right.
For me I gained enough to make me happy. Riding two up I noticed I did not slide forward on the saddle like I did before the spacers where installed.
Note: the spacers are polished clear but my risers are slightly brushed. They don't match perfectly but are just fine for my need.
$34.00 US for the two spacers, what looks like grade 8 bolts and washers. I ended up using the stock washers.
I used a 8mm allen/socket wrench to remove the stock bolts and a 17mm socket on a torque wrench set to 35 lbft to tighten the new bolts.

The first two photos are unrelated to the riser spacers. See my other post for Drive Belt Tension Tool for explaination.

Cheers

Thx, wxman, please do post any observations down the road. These look like they may do it for me but I'm not doing anything until spring.
