Since the colder weather is now upon us,I just purchased a two inch round, stick on analog thermometer for my T bird.I placed it in the lower right corner of the speedometer chrome bezel, just below the speedometer itself where it can be easily monitored.Since I've been known to ride in real COLD weather including sub zero temps, snow, sleet and or ice, lol,I just thought it would be a good idea to know when the temp hits that freezing mark so I don't fall down and go BOOM.lol I don't know why I never bought one before or even thought of buying one for any of my previous machines, but I bought one for this machine.I only paid three bucks for it so it ain't like i spent an unholy amount of money for it.Plus if ya ride in higher elevations where the temp can change quickly,it just might be a good idea to know that.Anyways,I just thought i'd throw it out here as it is an accessory item. Now I know you guys PROBABLY think,or should I say,KNOW FOR SURE NOW,lol, that I'm crazy, lol, but it just seemed like a good idea, atleast to me.lol Carry on gentlemen: Dave!!!

It is certainly a good idea in that Yankee weather up there. Hell, down here it was a bit nippy riding at 6 am, and it was 50 outside (That's like 400 or something for Europeans, and the rest of the world).

Hi and welcome dp

I had one on my last bike as I do a lot of riding in winter it was handy to have.

50 - wow - nice. We sit out and have a beer at those sweltering temps.

Yeah I guess I don't get the thermometer. One step outside I can tell if it's too cold to ride or not and that's a fair bit warmer than when I'm just uncomfortable. Seems to me it's about like having a rain detector on the bike. It would take me longer to read the gauge than to tell you it's cold AND raining.

Since Dave is from Massachusetts I just have to say...The Yankees are still playing in that weather. The Red Sox went home already.

When I came out tonight at 11pm to head home from the fish and game club I belong to, the temp was a balmy 35*F.So! I started the machine, let it run for 10-15 minutes to warm it up, plugged in my lectrics, and off I went. It was like riding on a cool summer night. The beauty of this machine is that the stator produces 45 amps which is 50% more then the 30 amp stator that my RSV came equipped with.Dave!!!
