Don't you just hate it when things let you down like this

Forget the dissapointment man, just get on and lets go for a ride.
Welcome Back!

If there's a T-bird in the garage then your either sick, broke or missing the time of your life.
Get out and ride that Bird.

The Tbird arrived June 26, 2009 - Speedy was traded in June for a 2012 Bonnie T100.

Hi Neil. well I laid my T`bird up for 6 months this year, (visiting relatives in Canada) ok it was not winter, but yes I left the tank full to the brim to prevent rusting of the tank, prior to this I added fuel stabilzer, and ran the bike to ensure it penetrated the fuel lines etc. I did not do this a couple of years back on my V-Strom and after firing it up after 6 months sitting idle it ran like crap, apparently the injectors were gummed up, thankfully the dealership managed to get them cleaned out, so stabilizer is a MUST..plus I sprayed "Bike Spray" made by Muc-Off, all over everything, and changed the oil and filter as well...

just got back last week, and she fired up first "kick" , I removed the battery BTW ..cleaned off the crap the other day using that biological de-greaser stuff ..anyways thats my cents worth...

Regards

Alan

Hi Alan,
As you will see, I'm no automotive genius.
What fuel stabilizer did you use? I have looked around Halfords and couldn't find anything that purported to be a stabilizer. I asked in halfords, but I don't think they understand the finer points of motoring!!! I think they could sell me a barbeque or perhaps some de-icer, but maybe they cut their training short.

Thanks for any info.

Neil

Has anyone in the UK got the name of a fuel stabiliser that they would recommend PLEASE. Don't want me injectors replaced next year.

Do you have "Sta-Bil" over there? If so, there are two flavors... use the red stuff for the non-ethanol fuel and the green stuff for the ethanol-added fuel.
