Just installed my new Formotion gauges on my bars. Pretty impressed with the quality (Citizen movement in the clock). The thermometer seems pretty accurate, too. Plus, they look great on the bike!

I bought them locally here in Denver through my friends at 303Cycle. Great guys with great prices... old school quality service, too.

I too have Formotion - but only the clock!

I initially installed it in my drill mirror stems:

But have since moved it onto the TT-bars:

I got mine from our friendly FastEddy

Hey Birdy,

I notice you have the chrome housings and clamps. Did they come as a set? Meaning, when you purchased the A9738156 - Switchcube Housing, did is come with housings for left and right sides? Same question for the clamps: did this come as a set of 2?

I believe that the switch housings came as a set (of two) with ONLY THE CLUTCH side WITH the clamp!
You have to order a SINGLE SEPARATE clamp for the throttle side - this has something to do with the brake reservoir and different possibilities I BELIEVE!

Anyways - my dealer put the order in so I'm not 101% - but I'm sure you just order the housings and the ONE single clamp for the throttle side!

Thanks for the reply Birdy. I realized I could have just looked it up on Link saw immediately that both housings and the single chrome clamp were included and that I'd need to order the single clamp for the left side. Actually, I've been using the Triumph Instructions site quite a bit lately to research what accessories I feel I can install myself versus which ones I'd rather have the dealer do. I should have known how to find the answer to my question. But again... THANKS! :-)

Yeah... But I've missed taking pictures of all my 'thousands' (2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, etc.) because something other than the ODO was on display!

Well - no - actually! I'm not too fussed about the display now I've had it for a year!
I liked it how it was on my last Speedmaster and how it is on my Tiger:
- Odometer
- Trip
AND
- Clock
ALL DISPLAYED at the same time, without having to fumble with a switch while riding along!

I can handle the information overflow!
I'm a grown man... I can take in more than one information at the same time... Bring it on...

(straying away from the Formotion topic here - but I still would like to speak my mind)
imho - to be honest - the display may be good for some, but for ME, I don't really see it as being a selling feature!

I don't need the 'miles to go' because I have the trip and therefore I know I need to fill before 350 km is up!

The clock I now have as a beautiful analog masterpiece on my bars.
At a quick glance I see what I want without having to start flicking my thumb.

So basically - I'm left having to flick through the displays concentrating on what's being displayed while also concentrating on the road - just so that I can go from ODO to Trip1 ! ! !

Thanks, but no thanks.

Ha, ha, Gonzo! Yes, of course we both know there's a clock on the dash

It's nice to be able to see time and the temperature at a glance... plus, the old school look of the analog clock dial just goes well with the bike's classic style. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I personally think the dual gauge look on my bars is very cool. Formotion quality is super high, too.

How accurate is the thermometer? Does the temperature drop as you ride or does it stay pretty accurate? Up until now I use the "shrivel factor" for cold weather and the "F*ck it's hot!" for days like last week when it hit 116°.

If ice crystals start forming from my condensed breath inside my visor:
- then it's time to slow down and be careful!

If the sweat runs down my back and manages to soak its way down into my arse:
- then it's time to ride faster, get home and get a beer!

Everything else is fun fun fun and camera weather!

Always time for a beer as long as it's a Guinness.

Love to ride regardless of the weather and after seeing some of your pics I wish I was riding where you are. Still love living in the good ole US of A, but Europe has some really nice mountain roads.
