G'day all, Did a search on Easy Brackets and found a heap of stuff. Not what I needed thou.

I just got my Easy Brackets and Hardstreet slimbags today and started to fit them. I got the brackets to suit the removable backrest, I mounted the bolts and spindles, yes, they are the correct ones, but found the only way I could mount the brackets was to remove the back rest and use a "persuader" to push downwards! Yeah thats right, a block of wood and a hammer.

Have I done something wrong or have all found varying degrees persuasion needed.

Thanks, look forward to your replies.

Help no.... Defiantly NOT right there mate!
Without seeing the setup its difficult to see what it is that's not 100%.
Can you put a pic of the miss-alignment?

OK, I don't have the hard bags, and I'm setup for NO back-rest, but my b4packets just slip onto the bolts without any efforts.

Hope you get it sorted 'cos these are great pieces of hardware!

Hi Eddy
You may have tightened the bolts too tight, loosen a faction and try also on easy brakets just sand some paint from near hook holes, mine were tight until I did the above also a spray CRC helps

Thanks Lee and Ron for your replies.

I eventually did what I should have done from the start. Examined. I ended up doing just what you said Rabbit and hey presto!! a waste of a new thread !!

Feel a bit foolish. but hey I'm sure I'll do things even more stupid than this in the future. And when I do, I'll post it and we can all have a laugh.
