I use a camelbck urban assault backpack. I've never tried putting a helmet in it so I'm not sure on that one, it would depend on if it's a half, 3/4 or full of course. You might be able to manage a full but I'm not sure. I do know it holds 5 6packs though. There are parts of it that are waterproof and parts that are not. The very outside of the pack has a flip over velcro flap which obviously isn't but it also has a laptop pocket (that will fit my monstrous Lenovo W700) that is fully waterproof including the double sealed zipper (I've been through some bad rainstorms with my laptop inside with no issues at all). It also has two water bottle pockets on the sides and dedicated mp3 player pocket. It's got the chest strap which helps a lot as well. All in all it's a very good backpack and I'd highly recommend it other than me not being sure on the helmet question.

It is pricey though at about $150

Have a look at these . I have one attached to my bike (US25 ) and after a 100 miles stint up the motorway in pouring rain the stuff in it was bone dry. But then thats what the bag sales dude said it would do.

Link

Very well made too.

They provide straps for motorcycle mount and for use as a rucksack.

Kriega = Dogs Bollocks

Are the best in all weathers use R25 & US40 Combination on the bikes. Just need to figure way to fit to T'Bird. Use the R3 waistpack when kitesurfing and other watersports. never let me down yet.

Recommended.

It is good gear and if you plan it right you can get all the kit to click together,so you can add to it later.
