Hello all,

As the title states, I was looking for a big bore kit that someone might have laying around that they never got around to installing. Thanks!

Read the threads on "engine clacking" before opting on the BB kit.
The noise seems to be more prevalent on the 1700 engines.

I don't have any first hand experience with either the 1700 or clacking.

The ride may be fun, but in the Great Scheme of things, it really is about the destination! John 3:16

So is there any definitive in 1700 factory cams as apposed to the kit. I got lucky with that 1700 of eBay. Factory built and it's quiet.

Only rumor, the bb kit has hotter cams. And I will say when this topic (clacking) comes up for discussion, I may comment too...Period.

I read online "The big bore kit consists of new pistons, liners, hotter camshafts, up-rated clutch springs and '1700' clutch cover embellisher. Maximum power output is increased from 85bhp to 97bhp – with torque lifted from 106ft/lbs to 115ft/lbs.". ...OK I did add "hotter", that's how these fuckin rumors start
