I just had my dealer order for replacement mufflers cancelled because Triumph Canada has discontinued the 'custom long pipes.' So, what are my options without paying big shipping and exchange rates? I'm based in New Brunswick.

That would have been a useful detail. I have a 2010 1600. It currently has the short TORs installed but they are corroded to due to storage by previous owner.

I would recommend the Hogslayers. This set up replaces the catalytic converter and the slipons at the same time.
Great sounding pipes.
If you prefer a shorter set up take a look at D & D, I have a set on a 2010, they were awesome and very reasonably priced.

If the "custom long pipes" (stock 2010 Thunderbird mufflers) are what you're after, I'll bet some Canadian member here has a set they've replaced long ago and might be willing to sell. I think I still have my stock mufflers around here somewhere... replaced with short TORS way-back-when.
They were fine - except that they had to be removed for tire replacement, belt adjustment, etc.

I put Hogslayers on my 2010 Thunderbird (no Cat) and I currently have Vance and Hines on my 2014 Commander. Both were easy to install and sound great.

As I said, my issue is dollar exchange and shipping costs. Hogslayers would be great if they had a Canadian distributor. Since Triumph Canada is not carrying the TORs, my options are rather limited. It's looking like I'll need to make a road trip into the US.

If $$ is a factor, surely there is a set of stock mufflers in Canada laying around in someone's garage that would be available cheap. Then go with the elbows ($53US) to replace the cat. Link

I see JBQ makes an adaptor kit to allow Commander/LT mufflers to be mounted on a 1600/1700. Does anyone have these? This could be my solution.

Looks great, I'm ordering the adaptors. I assume remapping the EFI is essential.

If it's a tune you want, you came to the right place - dozens of 'em posted here.
(Not quite on par with an oil or tire thread, but close ;-)
First you'll need a TB1600 patch Link

There's a repository of tunes around here somewhere. And be glad your 1600 will allow the change; later models won't.

I'll be sure to add the patch to my next Fast Eddy order!
To save me time searching for the right ECU connector cable, can someone give me a spec?

No remap should be necessary if you are using the stock mufflers.

So, what if installed the V&H Dual Slash Slip-ons for the 14/15 Commander/LT on my 1600 using the JBQ adapter pipes? What mapping would I need?

With LT and Commander style pipes, you'd probably be just fine with the "TOR Tune". You can have a dealer load it, or DIY via the TuneECU software process. If you do much more than pipes, like airbox mods, high flow filter, cat delete, etc., you might need a bit "sportier" map.

It's the other way around for me. I want to put commander pipes on a 1600.

If you are still interested, I have OEM 2010 Triumph Thunderbird pipes only used for -100km, in the original shipping box. I live in NB as well (grand Bay-Westfield).

The Commander pipes are not a direct bolt on for the 1600. They are longer.
JBQ does make an adapter kit including different elbows and brackets to adapt the mufflers to your bike.

Link Go about 1/2 way down the page to see.

Possibly - I didn't want to go stock but this has become a challenge. Let me know what you're asking.

The kit is $65 shipped (in USA). It includes the brackets to fit the mufflers, hardware and shortened elbows. Link (Everything you need except mufflers and motorcycle)

The Commander mufflers are longer from the front to the mounting bracket; hence the adapter brackets. It also adapts the LT mufflers as well.
