I just bought a daymaker headlight. I see that a lot of them have been installed on Tbird. I have a 2012 Tbird. When I open the headlight assembly, I see the 3 point plug plus the are 2 more connections on the original headlight that are not on the Daymaker. Would the light I bought work without connecting the small 2 connections?

That's for the "position light", that tiny bulb inside the stock headlight that stays on when the ignition key is in the park position. You can tape off or otherwise insulate the two connectors. BTW, there are LED headlights that incorporate a position light, like the J.W.Speaker, but for the life of me, I can't understand why.

Thanks.. I have read some posts that say the Daymaker doesn't fit correctly unless you distort the cover. Do you know if that is true?

For a few bucks more...JW's performance, quality and warranty (5 years) is a great option. Either way, one should seriously consider the led for visibility and safety.

J. W. Speaker's light is about $300, that's a lot more.
Secondly, there is a little tab in the housing where the OEM light fits. Seems like I have to remove that to install the Daymaker. It's it the same for the J. W. Light?

I have a 7" J.W., cost less, xllnt light spread and drops into the aftermarket 7" bucket. Try the search engine to dig up photos and more info from members...lots on the subject.

The Speaker is actually less than a real [Harley] Daymaker. Rumor is that Speaker makes the Daymaker for HD. The tab can be bent out of the way; doesn't need to be removed. Check here (scroll down to Feb 14): Link
