Thanks, Mat, but you're responsible for the fact that I haven't had to give my throttle a moment's thought since installing your replacement. This was never a job for plastic IMO. Grips are Avon MT-CC-85-CH metric cruiser grips. Chrome end caps eliminate bar-end weights, perfect fit once rubber grips are separated from Avon's plastic sleeve. Aluminum cap was added for length (these are long grips) and to allow screwed-on chrome end cap. You will do your self out of making the replacement sleeve. as the Avon's don't suffer the same problem as the KY's. Not so bad in England if your throttle tube disengages its self from its working life as we are never that far from help.
