According to the NADA price book,my 2010 TBird SE,in excellent condition, which mine is, would retail for around $6600, with a trade in value of $4400,and that's with almost 112,000 plus miles showin on the clock.Of course,I kinda doubt I could get any wheres near that, but that's what the book says and usually what the stealers refer to when doin a trade.

Their value is next to nothing. I have seen a ton of used ones that have hardly any miles in mint condition of 5 or 6 grand. Mine with 60k on it probably fetch $3.5-4k even with about $2k worth of chrome accessories.

Of course this is a blessing and a curse....a curse if you buy new, but used they gotta be the best bang/buck on earth. Had i not been chomping at the bit when these arrived i would have loved to wait a few years and grab a mint used one with 3 to 5k miles on it for about $5-6k.

I'd estimate the market value of my custom between 8 and 10k.

The reason for my post is to suggest the 2010 early Bird may be gaining notoriety in the market. I've noticed early 1700s competing with later models, 1600s and Storms...the old 104 cubic inch.

It's a tough used market
In South Carolina a 2011 Storm with all the bagger extras (6k Miles)cannot sell for $8500
A custom 2010 with 5500 miles black Powdercoating on everything with the British Blue fade and the 1700 kit is still up for $6500
These were two I had my eye on befor I had to be a hero and get the New 2015 Commander that's still in the shop after two weeks....
To be continued

I followed the herd and I got lost,
I went my own way and now I am found.

I recently looked at a 2017 Moto Guzzi 1400 Tourer [list is $18,500 USD] and the dealer commented on just how good my bike looked and ran, considering its' age and mileage, but then offered me a warping 2500 bucks on a trade towards that Guzzi,if I was interested. But I don't think so!!!

You make my point! The early bird seems to retain value comparatively speaking. There's a "new" Storm on EBay for less money, $6300. Anyway, I ain't sellin my early BB black bird (invest in precious metal :)

Hi all, new TBird owner.

I bought a 2010 (2009 Manufacture) 1600 from a private party a couple weeks ago and paid $5200 near Richmond, VA US.

Black, 3800 miles. Excellent condition.

Included Extras: Shorty TOR Exhaust, Touring Seat, QR Sissy bar.

I didn't buy it for the resale value, if I was only worried about that I would have bought a Hardly.

I bought it because I was looking at newer Americas and decided I just couldn't pass up this deal on the T-Bird.

Thanks.

Yep I already have purchased his JBQ. It was the second accessory I bought.

Can't make the rally this year but hopefully one day!
