Unfortunatly I haven't heard of them over here in Europe!?
I got a pair of RedRoute jeans from England when I was last over there.

They are OK - but I find the protection pad in the knee slips over to the side when riding.
But your arse and knees also have a Kevlar covering.

Leave the pork pies for now - get the sausage rolls while they're hot!

but went for a trip to byron bay today with the thermal jeans on ( posted some pics) and they were a 100% more comfortable and the wind wasnt cutting through, by oz standands its cool at the moment

Honestly said, I find that I sweat my arse off with Kevlar and hot weeather!!!

There is another European maker from France - ESQUAD that has a material, ARMALITH, that is better than Kevlar and more breathable (so they say)!?

How are your jeans?

Are they breathable?

Do you have fixed solid protectors in them?

Cool video birdy, I think she looks better in them than you and I would

I dont have any solid protectors in them, havent really gone down that path in the past
just figured a reasonable pair of jeans and a good leather jacket.

But yes they are breathable but still sweaty as you say, but when it gets hot here birdy its hot !

With the thermals they are breathable also, I dont know how they achieve that and keep them waterproof.

But I have also bought a good set of bike gloves from thomas cook some years ago and still wear them, so i know they
know about quality.

(off the subject, mate I went on a rat ride last weekend and met up with 4 other bird owners was a real buzz, I was feeling like the lone ranger as I hadnt run into many guys that had one)

I also have the Thomas Cook thermal jeans. They are waterproof, windproof and on a run to Oberon, coldest and windiest place around, kept me nice and warm. I also wear a pair of skins under mine to keep any draught out.

I've been riding in cool/cold weather with a pair of FLEECE LINED Jeans for a few years now. I don't use the chaps anymore.
These are regular jeans with a fleece lining. A little heavy weight wise but they work great. They also sell them flannel lined
but they aren't as heavy and don't seem to work as well for cold riding. These can be had for about $20-$25.

Certainly sounds like fleece is the go

I think birdys video was one of those trick optical illusion ones, where you stare at the girl long enough
after a few minutes you actually see a pair of jeans

I'm screwed on all rider jeans. I've not found any that come close on inseam length to fitting me. You guys are lucky, I'm just forced to keep my bike upright. You get all the fun and can topside with abandon safe in the knowledge that your swanky french pantalones will protect you.

Thatch,

You don't say how tall you are, but these are what I bought a week ago and think they are the bees knees! They are very long in the leg so I'd imagine they should fit a beanstalk. I just have them scrunched up a bit which still looks cool.

They feel simply awesome. Stretchy. Have a look kind of like leather but are material. Kevlar reinforced. Slim legged. Low waisted. Fit you like a glove. Let me tell you the ladies version looks SMOKING on the right girl - like my wife. :)

And although not tested yet, I would imagine they would be initially repellant to a short splash of rain. Just brilliant!

My last pair of Draggin Jeans lasted me 10+ years, so they are great quality.

Thanks for the heads up Gonzo. As for my size, I'm 6'6" and (unfortunately) have a 36" inseam. As luck would have it these pants you listed are a 34. That's about par for the course. Most manufactures seem to stop there. I think I'll start up a big and tall motorcycle shop, though with the riders I've seen the majority of the floor space would go towards the 'big' no the 'tall'.

Thanks again

They do look pretty cool with the leather look Gonz, havent gone for actual leather in the past,
Qld summers just too hot, like the fact they are stretch also, do you think they will
be breatheable enuff not to become too hot during a summer

I think they will be just fine. I wore them the other day and wind certainly still gets through them. Had to wear thermals! :)
