I have found only a couple of post regarding how folks like or dislike the Triumph rider's backrest. I just finished up a 1500 mile, 5 day trip and I have to say I like my Corbin Young Guns on my Kawi Vulcan better than the longhaul. It has great back support without adding the Corbin rider 's backrest. Not that the longhaul was that bad, the longest stretch of riding I did was 3 hrs and was ready to take a break and gas up. I sat on my buddy's Vulcan 1600 Nomad with a Mustang tour seat with backrest and found it very supportive and got me thinking about adding one to my TBird SE. I don't particularly care for the look of the backrest on the bike but heck if it provides more comfort I can live with it. So what say you all that have the backrest? Is it worth the $170?

Hi new here

Just moved from a Triumph America -
The seat looks a bit NAF but it works.
It stops you sliding back (wind I dont have a screen) and takes the strain off your arms on long runs.

CONS: I tend to catch it when getting off the bike ! (you remember to move the back rest forward when mounting)
I got mine part of the sales deal (At the time I ordered the bike I would had not paid for it ...but now I have had one .....I will recommend one ......worth ever penny!!! - if it just to keep you from sliding back when you open the throttle!
PRO: It also stops the passenger crashing into you when you have to stop sharp!!

I have one on the shelf, now.

The Triumph rider's backrest could not be adjusted enough backward for me. Pushed me too far forward... uncomfortable.

I now have a Corbin Solo with backrest and it is great.
