Hi all
I'm new to this Forum, I purchased a 2010 Thunderbird 1600 12 months ago (loving the bike: ThumbUp: ) and I've had some airbrush work done over the winter.
I now need to get the exhausts done to finish of the look, but I've hit a problem! I can't find anywhere who supply what I'm looking for.
I'm after two turnout slashcut exhausts in chrome about 19inches long (to make it easier to take the rear wheel off when I get a tyre replacement), I also need two angled brackets to fix the exhausts onto the cat bypass pipes (I think they're 50 degrees).

Is there any custom exhaust builders who can help me?

Here's a couple of photos of my paint work, I went with the Battle of Britain theme

Those emgo pipes won't work with the standard cat eliminators because the connecting ends are straight . The header pipes are two low and inside to put a straight pipe onto unless they're really short. You will need an in between pipe to position the muffler outward and a bit higher than where the headers come from. Unfortunately you'll need to go to an exhaust shop for that. Great paint by the way!

Done a bit of searching today and came across this website Link This look promising providing I can get my hands on 150mm long mandrel pipes, the item listed is out of stock
I should be able to get universal turnouts if I can get the mandrel pipes, I've saved these turnouts just in case Link

Not sure if I can help but I do have some cat eliminator pipes I bought that I never used... you could check with Chip at CCS Choppers he might be able to make you some. Here is the Exhaust he built for me.

I already have the cat removed and a cat eliminator fitted, thanks for the offer though

Check out British Customs. I had installed the Hog Slayers on my 2010 Thunderbird, sounded great, worked with out the Cat or a Cat bypass. They also have D&D Triumph Thunderbird 1600 Boss Slip On Exhaust which would need the Cat bypass but may be more the look you are seeking.

Picked up my Mandrel pipes from the fabricators this morning, cost me 35 quid to get them cut to size and welded

Took the pipes and cat bypass pipe off and fitted mandrel pipes and turn outs to bike

They need a little adjustment to line them up for the heat shields but apart from that a good fit
Took it out for a test run to see how they perform and sound, the bike ran without any problems although it does sound really loud and might attract more attention then I first thought.

I'll try and upload the video's of the before and after exhausts if I can so you can decide for yourselves..

If someone wanted to fabricate those in polished stainless, that'd be a great new item (I'd certainly buy a set) - it opens up the world of pipes to lots of standard slip-ons (which was something I liked about my america....) - since you don't need to have a weird 45 degree angle at the end of the pipe. Then I could fit the rineharts that have been just sitting in my garage. :-)

At least on the videos, it looks like that right side turnout pipe sits pretty far away from the bike. One thing a lot of guys I ride with make note of is how well the stock long or short TOR pipes line up when I'm in full lean on a twisty road. I scrape pegs, but the pipes are well off the road (albeit "close").

Curious if your turnouts reduce your lean angle any?

There's a guy in the NW coast of the US on one of the Tbird Facebook pages that has turnouts like yours, but basically connected right at the exit of the header. Friggin' LOUD, too!

I made some minor adjustments to try and line up the turnouts to the heat shields, I've managed to lift the turnouts so hopefully they won't scrape when cornering. The heat shields stick out more than I like but it's a working progress. Apart from that they sound awesome
