I keep reading about short and long TORs exhaust, but tried google, and this is the best it cames up with "Triumph Performance Short Silencers Thunderbird" is that what they are? and where is the best place to get them from? The TOR stands for Triumph Off Road I believe. You'll see a lot of motorcycle parts labeled as "For off road use only" which is how they get around some of the regulations for street use. Although everyone ends up using them for street use. You can get them directly through your dealer or on eBay or often times on the buy/sell board here.
