Has anyone done this? The reason I ask is if you are running the autotune from dynojet the O2 sensors are pretty close to that cross pipe which does muddy up the waters a wee bit. If you notice n the newer Bonnies etc they have moved the O2 sensors further up the header pipe. So I was thinking, I don't ever recall having a bike with a front cross pipe on it and what is its actual purpose? Can a guy just cut it out and weld a cap on it or? just thoughts?

My old T140 had a crossover pipe up-front. Moves more exhaust and might be a bit quieter. Replaced it with bigger diameter pipes, but you could do things like that back in those days.
BTW: Manual shows that connecting pipe sliding to one side, but not so on my 2010. Have to remove both headers to get mine off.
