Jack-Be-Quick's latest maintenance aid.
Not yet available on JBQ's website, so PM me if interested. Axle driver is $20. Bearing driver is $30. Both $45 including USA priority mail.
Both are machined out of 6061 aluminum - will not damage your parts.

Axle driver fits T-Bird 1600/1700, Hinckley twins and triples; any clamped in axle that is nominally 1"

Pilot is .74" (19mm) Shank is .97" (24.7MM)

Bearing driver fits T-Bird 1600/1700, Hinckley twins and triples; any bike with 6204 bearing.

Drive surface is offset so as to put no impact load on the ball bearings.

Pilot is .77" (19.6MM) Shank is 1.75" (44.5MM)

FYI: A socket, the size of the bearing in question, usually from a 3/8" drive socket set,[if ya have a larger bearing, use a 1/2" drive set] installed backwards on the end of an extension will do the same thing as your bearing driver. That's how I get my bearings out!! I even have a 3/4" inch drive set for the big stuff in trucks and heavy equipment.Been doin it for years and not just on motorcycles and it works pretty good.

Trying to find a cheap way to do things, I've also used a socket for many years on many different bearings. Sometimes the result is fine, but last time (on my T-Bird) I damaged a bearing and had a howling noise that for a good while, I blamed on a new tire that I replaced at the same time. Bearings are pretty cheap, but the time and hassle of doing the job twice impelled me to have a tool to do the job right the first time. I'm a "Tool Guy"; having a tool for almost every occasion. These are purpose built but usable on several different models. No way to risk damaging the bearing. As you see in the pic, impact is only transmitted to the outer portion that contacts the race, not the balls. Also, the pilot ensures that the race is not touched and therefore not damaged either

OOPS!!
In my exuberance, I stated that the axle driver and bearing driver fit these T-Birds!
Axle driver is obviously NOT for these T-Birds, but other models with axles NOT threaded in.
(Such as Bonnies & older 900 T-Birds.)
The Bearing Driver is AOK!

(surprised that no one called me to the carpet on that one!)
