Has anyone successfully removed and reused the stock grips? Obviously the throttle is no problem, but can someone help me in getting off the left hand grip without damage? Thanks!

can be done and re used easily enough, I used a long flat screw driver to break the seal at the end, then just ease it in gently and spray some wd40 in as you rotate the screw driver, that will break the glue seal, then grab it with a rag and ease it off. If you have a compressor at your disposal, compressed air will do the same thing. if you pour some extra warm water over the grip before hand, it will come off really easily.
Then to put it back on, warm it again and I spray aerosol paint inside to lubricate and stick when dry.
start your bike up and go for a ride.

I tried the method you outlines initially, but couldn't get it off. Tried a second time and just kept working the flatehead and using WD40. Finally got it. It is now installed on my new bars.
