Dave they are where you put a few eggs in a plastic bag. Ride for a while then pull over and enjoy scrambled.

Can't we mount some kind of a heating element in there too so we can warm em up???

That looks to be a hardtail AZ, we don't even have a frame member there.
How 'bout a trailer with a small BBQ and room for some charcoal and camp gear? ;-)

Here's a crude example of the layout. But the more I think about it, the less I like the idea...few anchoring points and potential swingarm interference?

Hey MotorMac, how the hell are you (great I'm sure)? Yeah, camping out in the Nevada desert with Thunderbirds and coyotes...them were the days!

It's already there, called an exhaust pipe.

I placed some leather throw over bags fixed under my seat and they rest on the pillion pegs.
When I find a photo I'll add it

AZ - dude over on FB has his highly modified and bobbed TBird with a swingarm bag. I haven't seen a left side picture, but here's the right (with has brand new, 2-1 custom fabbed exhaust).

Obviously what is missing there is his RH exhaust pipe. I looked at these some time ago, but if they are attached to the swingarm surely it would get a rough ride which must have ongoing effects on the product life, not too mention if the exhaust is in the way.

Leethal is right, that T-Bird has both pipes on left side, Harley-style.
Just don't see how you could put a bag there AZ, between the muffler and your passenger peg there just isn't any room. Only place to fasten it is the down tube next to side covers. And the shock? Don't think it's gonna fly..... How 'bout a small bag on your handlebars?

...thought about it MM but I travel light (as you know). And before attending the 2016 Laughlin River Run, I'll mail my stuff to the hotel...that's the good news! The not so good news is riding with a pack of Harleys (good friends). Hope someone doesn't step out of line or I may give 'm the biz.
