has anyone fitted them? did you loose much clearance etc?
I am thinking of fitting them at some stage soon {maybe}, as I had a bike once with them and I loved them.
would like to hear of your experiences, pros cons and stuff

I had them on mine Dermot, & did a test run in the Adelaide Hills a few months before the Tanunda flocking (500km in 2 days in the hills)
They were comfy, but scraped a few times so I took 'em off. I have the Highway pegs as well as the OEM pegs & that does me.

I bought my used 2012 T-Bird this year and rode it for 4 months with the pegs that it had. A few months ago I added the boards and have no regrets at all and will not be switching back. I thought that the boards would reduce the lean clearance, but I don't believe that to be the case. In fact I think that I may even have more clearance (based on the amount of times that I drag my boards compared to the previous pegs). Your leg position does change and for me my knees are more bent. Having the ability to change the feet position on a long ride outweighs the knee position for me.

My findings are the same as caprock. With pegs I seem to drag sooner, nothing worse than dragging the heel of your boot.
Ever catch the heel on one of the reflective road markers in the pavement, sux! I've literally had my foot jerked of the peg. That doesn't happen with the boards.

With the boards, when I touch down I normally just slide it through the turn. But I'm pretty aggressive

Dermot, They came with my Bird when I bought it new and at first wasn't to sure after riding the America with pegs, I found after scraping a few corners on the GOR causing a hairy moment or two I ended up buying Thunderbike fork caps and extra preset and fork height fixed the scraping problem. I now reckon they're great because you can move your feet forward and back which is great on those long rides.

Yes I wish mate, I committed to a reunion with the fellas that I joined the Navy with in 1971 some 18months ago in Hastings , Victoria. Not knowing then that the flocking would be in Brisbane the next weekend, going down in the 4x4 not the Bird.
