I like the idea of mini apes (i know i know) becasue i like to sit more upright with my arms even (otherwsie my hands go to sleep) i am looking to see if anyone has or performed some changes along this path. I have no issues with replacing all the cables either , i know this will be required.

I was able to keep all factory cables (with rerouting) except the brake line, had to get a longer one made. They may look high in the picture but I find them extremely comfortable.
This shows the riding position pretty well.

Much better! Had to use extended cable set and make a new brake line, details here: Link Pics to follow on that post (soon).

Either way i am looking at all new cables i am sure of that.

Weird thing seems getting actual cables made around these parts is pretty tough, hydraulic and so forth no issues but otherwise they are sending them out to the US to get done. I like the thickness of the LT bars, one thing for sure, the riser (OEM) though i am not sure will be tall enough or not. With my storm riser and the extra 1" it is still about 3-4" to low and about 2" to far from me (for my altimate comfort zone :-) )

If you look closely you can see the union for the brake line against the upper triple tree. Because I have ABS it would have been a nightmare to change the entire line. I used a braided line and union from the Arlen Ness kit I had from putting 17" apes on my Victory Cross Country.
