Hi all,

Just replaced my Sprint ST with a 2010 thunderbird and enjoying the different style of riding, due to a tight-ar$e bank manager I could stretch to a Storm and would like to see a bit less chrome on my 'bird.

This does not seem an easy task as replacement non-chrome parts seem hard to find for the T-bird. Painting over Chrome does not seem an option, so noob questions

do Storm parts fit the 1600 ?
Is there a 'easy' sensible way to remove or cover chrome ?
Anyone found a good supplier of non-chrome parts - British Customs here in US still prefers Chrome it seems

Thanks

Storm parts will fit. A bit more fiddling to do if you want to put the dual headlights on, though.

Buy some exhaust wrap, and cover your pipes.

Fork gators?

You might be able to ceramic coat over chrome? Guys do it on the exhaust all the time.

Hey
Thanks for response

I have some exhaust wrap on the way and also a set of black ceramic BC predators :)
adding Black RIVCO LED signal Mirrors at the weekend

I saw a U-doob video of ceramic coating the exhaust headers, didn't seem a bad job apart from curing the coating, but haven't seen one overt he chrome, guess I should search a bit harder.

Haven't decided about the dual headlights yet, to me they are iconic of a Triumph but I also like the simplistic look of the single lamp

you can powdercoat over anything thats chrome with the exception of the headers which need to be ceramic, the pipes should be ceramic as well but the heat shields can be powdercoated.
