Yup - then mine broke so went with Arlen Ness contrast cut blacks. Search "ISO grips" or Kuryakyn ISO or something. A bunch of the guys have 'em still.

Hi..Just fitted simiar to my storm...

These are aftermarket ones I purchased in NZ. Simple to fit and so far im ok with them. They are anti vibration type hence the rubber and have a soft feel. On the downside, if you were aggressive with them I think the rubber inserts may move. Other than that..quite good.

cheers Tal

Been looking on the Kuryakin website here in the UK for the black iso grips and it tells me that the part does not fit my Storm. Do you guys overseas have a different part number or the website is wrong?

Nixy,

The Black ISO grips that fit the T-bird are part nr 6337. I have them on my Storm and I love them.

I've been reading posts about the Kuryakin grips breaking where the cable nipples fit. Has anyone experienced this problem with theirs ?

I had my Kuryakin Iso's on my America for 6 years or so and moved them to my T-Bird when I bought it a year ago. No problems.

VA,
How did you remove the left grip after glueing it to the handle bar?

I don't recall it being a problem. Maybe it was a snug enough fit that I never glued it on.

Mine broke a few months after installing them, but I put it down to the sharp edge on the throttle/switch housing. Repaired the grip, dremelled the sharp edge off, been there now for a couple of years without issue.

Ditto! Best insurance is to ease off the edge of the switch housing where the cables enter. Anyone that hasn't had it break, really should open that housing and do a quick inspection. Odds are that you'll see a nick or chip in that cable barrel holder. Meaning it's going to break at some point....but when??

I loved the grips, though. Very comfy. But I opted for Arlen Ness grips when I replaced my busted Kurys.
