With out getting into the pros and cons or the tuning options for doing the decat mods I thought I'd supply some dimensions for the elbows.

The tube used here is 1.5 " OD x 1/16" wall stainless tube with a 45 degree bend.$ 18.00 each

I got them bent with long legs as I coundnt find any detail

I did a bit cutting until I found the best fit for me.
The photo shows the dimensions 65mm x 150 mm from the inside center of the bend.

I left the original exhaust gaskets in place but it needed some extra effort to tighten the clamps fully

Hope it helps someone

Cheers

Pete

No, they need to be 45 degrees.

Hi,

How does this compare as a balance pipe decat assembly from Peter at Meerkat?

I don't like the way it feeds the flow across. Look at the Staintune H. The main flow from the header to muffler is direct. The crossover is basically just a pressure equalizer.

I agree. When i gutted my cat, at one point it was essentially like that crossover and it was a lot more restrictive than the elbows. The fact the elbows are way louder i believe proves that. That5 crossover may be better than the gutted cat, but i can't see how it would be much different. The flow is routed basically he same.

Yeah the whole point is to make it less restrictive.

I agree with both. My gutted cat is way quieter than the straight through pipes
