Your opinion appreciated (Re: Slcharger) | | Link I've worn these for 30+ years now... got them when the company, Randolph's, was supplying all the USAF flyers (They have a USAF stores part number) .. and in East Anglia we had a load of USAF/RAF bases where you could access the stores via the right people..
Link The frames are relatively cheap and final cost depends on what lenses you decide to have fitted ... I put Zeiss lenses in with anti-scratch etc, Frames still good after about 6-7 different prescriptions in now With the flat arms they slide into the helmet really easy... Order off the web now..

Your opinion appreciated (Re: Slcharger) | | Polarized is best because it will eliminate direct glare. If you can, avoid wide wrap around styles. Even with modern digitally designed and fabricated optics, a wide lens with more than a 7 or 8 base curve will still give peripheral distortion even in your prescription. For color, any shade of brown gives more definition and clarity because it filters out the shorter wavelengths. However, it will distort color perception slightly, and if that will bother you, grey is 'true to color'. Straight temples (side pieces) are best for under a helmet but isn't completely necessary. Don't bother with mirror coatings they serve little practical purpose . An anti-glare coating on the back side of the lens will eliminate reflections off the inside of the lense for when you wear them without the helmet on. This is actually my profession, and motorcycle sunglasses is part of my regular business.

Oakleys are nice. (Not to hijack the thread but consider a good photochromic helmet shield to filter out UV rays.)
